Canada Indigenous Loan Guarantee Corporation (CILGC) is pleased to announce the
continued expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointments of Dr.
Matthew Pike as Vice President, Indigenous Relations, Aaron Manz as Vice President,
Head of Investments, and Stephen Eddy as Vice President, Legal.
Together, these leaders bring deep expertise in Indigenous relations, investment
management, commercial transactions and corporate governance, further strengthening
CILGC’s ability to deliver on its mandate of supporting Indigenous ownership and
economic reconciliation through major projects across Canada.

Dr. Matthew Pike, Vice President, Indigenous Relations

A Nunatsiavut Inuk, Dr. Pike brings extensive experience in Indigenous relations,
economic development and the natural resource sector. Throughout his career, he has
held senior leadership positions with organizations including Rio Tinto, Vale and Nalcor
Energy, where he led Indigenous partnership initiatives, negotiated and implemented
Impact and Benefit Agreements, and advanced economic development opportunities
with Indigenous communities.

His experience working alongside Indigenous governments and organizations,
combined with his expertise in public policy, commercial negotiations and major project
development, will play an important role as CILGC continues to build trusted
partnerships and support Indigenous participation and ownership in major projects.

Aaron Manz, Vice President, Head of Investments

Aaron Manz brings more than two decades of experience in infrastructure and energy
investing, with deep expertise in investment strategy, commercial structuring and capital
markets. Prior to joining CILGC, he served as Managing Director at Ontario Teachers’
Pension Plan, where he led and managed investments across energy, infrastructure
and sustainability sectors, including transactions valued at more than $5 billion.

As Vice President, Head of Investments, Aaron leads CILGC’s investment function,
helping identify, evaluate and structure financing solutions that enable Indigenous
communities to participate as equity owners in major projects. His experience across
both public and private markets strengthens CILGC’s ability to deliver innovative
financing solutions that attract investment while advancing Indigenous economic
participation.

Stephen Eddy, Vice President, Legal

Stephen Eddy joined CILGC as Vice President, Legal after serving at Canada
Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). He leads the Corporation’s legal and
governance functions, providing strategic counsel and supporting the structuring of
CILGC’s commercial transactions.

Prior to joining CDEV, Stephen held senior legal positions with Canada Life and the
Bank of Montreal and began his legal career at McMillan LLP. His expertise in
corporate, financial services and commercial law has already been instrumental in
supporting CILGC’s first loan guarantees and establishing the legal and governance
framework that will support the Corporation’s continued growth.

As CILGC continues to expand its activities, the addition of this experienced executive
team reflects the Corporation’s commitment to building the expertise and partnerships
needed to deliver on its mandate. Together, these leaders will help position CILGC to
work alongside First Nations in advancing Indigenous ownership, creating long-term
economic opportunities and supporting prosperity for generations to come.
